Controle & measuring instruments

We only work with brands and products that conclusively have proven their value in use. Our own quality department also forms an important role in the delivery of quality. All our castings are checked both in China and the Netherlands for quality and preconditions. We are equipped with ‘high tech’ measuring instruments, which are annually calibrated. Here you will find the most important means used for the quality control.

All our tailor-made products are checked according to drawing and specifications. Inspection and testing of castings and bearings encompasses four main categories: finishing of the product, dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties and chemical composition.

Castings and forgings produced in China, are check by our subsidiary before they are shipped to the Netherlands.

To carry out these quality checks we use various instruments. Here you will find our most important measuring machines:

Spectro-analyse equipment

For the analysis of the chemical composition of metal, we use two devices; the spectro-analysis device, which very accurately determines the chemical composition based on resulted gases after the sparking of the tested material.

Furthermore, we have access to a so-called XRF-analysis machine which, by menas of X-ray, can quickly analyse the chemical composition of, for example: stainless steel, but also of the most non-ferrous materials, such as aluminium and copper alloys.

Roughness tester

Through this device the roughness of processed and unprocessed surfaces can be measured. The roughness profile can be set according to the roughness profile R or primary profile P. It is also possible to make analyses according to DIN 4476, MOTIF-R and MOTIF-W. For the calculations most common standards are used, including ISO.

Hardness tester

With our 2 hardness testers we can measure how hard a certain metal is. With the hardness measurement according to Brinell, a ball is being pressed into the tested material. The diameter of the indentation is a measurement for the hardness of the material. The Rockwell test determines the ‘hardness’ as ‘resistance to local penetration’.

3D measuring machine (CMM)

Our portable measurement arm can do accurate measurements up to 0.005 mm and has a maximum measuring volume of 1.2 meters. The software guides our employees through the steps involved, so that no dimension can be forgotten. The test results are being defined in a clear report.

Tensile tester

For tensile tests, we have a calibrated tensile tester up to 850 kN, with a gauge length of 10 meters. The device has an electronic display including a length measurement system, which makes a strength-path diagram possible.

Other measuring instruments

Obviously, we also have classical measuring instruments, such as: pen- and ring calibres, three-point hole screw gauges, height meters, thickness meters, micrometers, paint adhesion testers, protractors, endoscopes and various other instruments.
